SchoolSmartKC is excited to continue our work in Talent Development with an additional focus on building representation for educators of color. Through our strong relationships with schools, we have actively learned from, listened to, and partnered with schools and local organizations to develop new strategies to boost representation and continue to grow a strong talent pipeline for schools.

In 2022 we are incredibly excited to have launched several grants that fund many local organizations that focus on representation in schools. Partnerships with these organizations will allow us to continue our work and meet our talent objectives, which include the recruitment of 400 new educators and increase educators of color in KCPSS by 10% year over year for the next three years.

We look forward to continuing to detail these grants as they are released, and champion the work of our partners!
