Celebrating Exceptional Educators

Excellence in Education awards in Kansas City

Nominate an Educator for an Excellence in Education Award in the Kansas City Public Education System

Since 2019, the Excellence in Education Awards have invested over $1.5 million directly in educators who drive student success. We award $10,000 to individual educators and $5,000 to school teams making measurable differences in their classrooms.

Know an exceptional educator, leader, or support staff member? Nominate them below. All eligible nominees receive an invitation to apply, and we’ll share your recognition message with them directly.

Review the award categories below to find the best match for your nominee.

These awards recognize educators serving in public schools (charter or district) within Kansas City Public Schools boundaries.

Nominations will run through the full first week of January 2026.
