We also expand student access to learning directly linked to real career exposure through work-based experiences, credentials, and employer partnerships. By supporting both Educators and Learners, we accelerate the Kansas City Public Education System in delivering instruction that meets today’s needs and prepares students to be learning forward, future ready.
Career Access
Career readiness requires exposure to real pathways, hands-on experience, and skills that employers value. We support programs that connect KC students to industry certifications, internships, mentoring, and technical training that link directly to economic mobility.
At the same time, SSKC invests in educator training that builds strong instructional skills and supports team-based staffing so schools can rethink how the classroom works. This gives students more access to skilled teachers and stronger daily instruction. By backing both the adults who teach and the students who learn, we help Kansas City schools prepare young people with recognized credentials, real experience, and the skills needed to move into the future with confidence.
