We focus on increasing the number of schools where every student group reaches at least 50% proficiency in both math and reading, because true success means closing gaps, not celebrating averages. When schools work for every subgroup, they work for every child.
Pre-K
The foundation matters. Students who enter kindergarten ready to learn are far more likely to graduate, pursue higher education, and build successful careers. We invest in high-quality Pre-K programs that develop essential literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional skills, giving KC’s youngest learners the strong start they need to thrive throughout their educational journey and beyond.
K-12 Instruction
Effective teaching requires more than dedication. It requires evidence-based curricula, proven instructional strategies, and ongoing professional development that keeps educators prepared and supported. We invest in the tools and training that help KC teachers deliver instruction that actually moves students forward, ensuring every classroom benefits from practices research has shown to work.
